i'm trying to transfer my phone number from tmobile to verizon wireless?

i'm trying to transfer my phone number from tmobile to verizon wireless and its making me sort of mad. Verizon deactivated my tmobile phone but they're taking forever to get my new phone to work! i cant call or do anything on it! i've called the number and it says "the person you have called has not set up their voicemail" Verizon said to wait 24 hours its been longer than that and ive called them but they failed to fix it. what do i do?????

p.s. i'm switching to a blackberry so would that have anything to do with it?
