I'm trying to make a label on my jacket with duct tape and spray paint/sharpie...?

With spray paint, I can use tincels. With a sharpie, I can go free hand. I was wondering, how well does each work on Duct Tape? Because I dont want to put duct-tape on the back of my jacket and watch the ink just drip off and have an ugly black and grey tape on the back of it. Help?
