Im trying to lose weight can I still exercise since I ate b4 my workout?

I want to lose weight,I was hungry so i ate 2slice wheat bread and 1 low fat yogurt for breakfast before my workout but can i still exercise? People say is best to lose fat and exercise on a empty stomach so since I ate that do i need 2 wait for 2morrow to exercise on a empty stomach?
by the way I ate this today at 1pm which was breakfast for me since i woke up late
