im trying to jailbreak my iphone but cant get phone to stay in DFU mode?

when i hold the power button and home button for 10 seconds, my phone restarts 3 seconds later help i really wanna just get this over with ive been at it for a looooong time and it needs to be in dfu to jailbreak
