Im trying to go into the army.....?

I have a GED should tht be a problem? I also want to go into 11x Infantry, is it a pretty much definite deployment to iraq or afganistan or has the deployment rate droped? How long does it normally take when you first go in to get through the avsab to MEPS then to BCT? I dont know if all that makes sense, im really confused and couldnt make an account on goarmy.com to ask these question
 
Afgan is getting big...............infantry mos should get you a job................all the rest.see the recruiter in person not on a computer so he can size you up...........
