Im trying to get xbox live with sierra wireless aircard?

Alright ive been trying to get xbox live with sierra wireless aircard 595U and my xbox says "Cannot obtain your IP Address" I have a MAC is that have something to do with it my parents are divorced and i can only play xbox live at my dads and i want to play it alot here so please help me if you guys need a video ill upload one of it but tell me first
