Im trying to get my car fixed but the people i bought my car from said they

cant cover it & i have a warranty.? yesturday my car was running hot. Im supposed to bring it to a certain mechanic when something goes wrong with it. Since it was running hot i brung it to him and he said it was because my fan wasn't working. He explained to me that he didnt have enough time to check why it wasn't coming on so he unplugged something and said it should work now. So im leaving and i noticed something. My temperature gauge wasn't on it was stuck on zero. so i went back down the street and told him about this. he said it's gonna do that because he unplugged this blue thing. i told him "well how am i supposed to know if my car is running hot?".he said it's not because the fan is on. Now i realized that he was in a rush to get done with me. the next day im going to take finals and the car stops on me. Smoke comes from the hood and my brakes and steering wheel is stuck. I called the people who i buy my car from and they got a tow truck to come get it. when the tow man came he basically said why was i driving it hot? i explained to him how the mechanic unplugged something and he said it will be ok until i get it to him in the morning or whenever he has time. he said well since you said that the mechanic has to fix it becuase he was not supposed to do it. later, the mechanic basically says he didnt unplug anything. I went to the shop to get my house keys off of my other keys and i asked him what was going on.he said the gasket was bad from the beginning and that i need another one. i said well why did you unplug something if you didnt know why it was running hot? he said because he didnt have time????....i got him on video saying this to show to the car company. fast forward later that day i talked to the company about my warranty. they said it covers my engine and transmission but since i drove it hot i'm gonna have to pay for it?? i again told them that i didnt know it was running hot because the mechanic unplugged the thing that is connected to my temperature gauge. right now we are going to all sit down and say what happened and come to a solution to who is going to pay for this. this is not fair to me and i feel like i shouldn't have to pay for anything if he messed it up and especially if i have a warranty....what should i do cause this is bs.
