I read an article about a theory which i'm finding hard to explain; It says that since landmark inventions and discoveries such as domestic air travel, electricity and the internal combustion engine, the amount of time between these landmark discoveries has been widening, and one day it will become so large that mankind will not be able to support itself. I'm not saying i agreed with it, but does it ring any bells with anyone, and if so, what's it called?
