I heard that it is only the 2009 - 10 model that was defective. That's what the dealer told me. The one Im looking at is a 2004 4 wheel drive with 82,116 kilometers on it. Its been inspected with 185 points covered. I negotiated with the dealer and he brought it down from $ 10, 495 to $ 10,000. Does this sound like a good deal ? Is there a place on line that provides a criteria, based on the Black Book or some other accurate system that will tell me what is the street value of such a vehicle of other similar vehicles ? I need a hatchback compact because I am a traveling musician with limited funds for gas, like most of us. Also, I heard that in addition to paying the taxes on a used vehicle in the province of Quebec, I will also have to pay some thousand(s) for "preparations". What exactly is this "preparations" fee ?
Im thinking to purchase a 2004 Toyota Matrix. Is there any defects in them ?
