I'm 16 and plan to finish High School and then I'm thinking of joining the Military. I haven't decided if that's what I want to do yet or not, but I'm defiantly considering it.
What does each branch (or just one if that's all you know) do? Like, what are the different jobs each one has? How will I know which one to do? Do I have any say, or is it all based on that test? (Can't remember what it's called but it starts with an A.)
I know a little, do I have to be like an expert on planes or guns to join certain areas? Or will they teach me everything there is to know? I'm a good student.
I also thinking about joining the FBI once I graduate from school. Will I be able to finish College at the same time as being on the force?
What are the Pros and Cons...besides bad food and spending time away from the family.
How should I train for it before boot camp?
I want to know everything I can before I commit to it.
Also, how do I convince my friends that I want to do this? They keep (we're girls) telling me that it's stupid and I should do something safer with my life (um...I'm planning to join the FBI??? lol). My mom says she thinks it's a good idea. We have a lot of family members on the Air Force and 2 of my uncles were in the Navy. But they live too far away to ask...and some are away or are about to leave.
