I'm thinking of buying a 2006 toyota corolla?

but i'm not sure whether to get a sedan or a hatch version. They both have a 1.8 engine, but my friend tells me the hatch has greater acceleration speed, because it has less weight and that's why i'm leaning towards the hatch.

any comments are welcome
