full manual is 5or6 speed and semi auto is 4 speed is it that important, any problems with the rx8 seems like a good car to me

It isn't "semi-auto," it's auto.

And if you're going to get an RX-8, avoid the auto like the fucking plague. First of all it's WAY down on power (over 40 horsepower less), second, it DEFEATS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE ROTARY ENGINE.

The rotary can only make its power at high RPMs. The car is designed and intended to be driven at high RPMs. An automatic transmission will restrict your ability to drive at high RPMs. Not only that, but the rotary, more than any other car, MUST be driven at high RPMs at least some of the time, for the sake of its seals. The automatic just makes that harder to do.

AND there are more problems associated with the auto than with the manual...and the RX-8 is NOT a trouble-free car to begin with. (A lot of that has to do with Mazda dealer techs not knowing shit about the car)

Anyhow, there are a LOT of problems with the RX8. Consult a Mazda Rotary forum before buying one, so you know what to look for, what to avoid, and what to do if you DO have problems (taking it directly to the dealer may not be the best idea).

There's one. http://www.rx8club.com/

Oh yeah, and expect poor fuel economy.
