...choice in deciding? I filed a case in small claims court and I got something in the mail saying the Peoples Court wants my case. This is attractive because this gives me a guaranteed pay off if there's a judgment.

If I choose to go on the show, does the defendant get a say in the matter if they want to go on tv, or will they be subpoenaed with no choice, well the choice would be defaulting.

Basically is it completely up to the plaintiff to go on this show and the defendant doesn't have a say in the matter? They can either show up or default?
I know 100% I'll win in small claims court whether it's on tv or not. What I'm not sure on is if he's got the money to pay the judgment. Television would guarantee my judgment, but do I have to convince the defendant to go on the show, or will a subpoena do that?
Does the defendant get no choice in the venue just like in real court? They just have to go where subpoena was issued?
My landlord messed up bad, I know he won't want to go on tv because of how ignorant he will look. Is there anyway I can convince him to go on the show, I want a guaranteed judgement and to be paid relatively fast... not 20 years later.
