I'm stupid - Wii setup......

So I got lucky enough to snag two Wii's yesterday at Target. I get home and rip one out of the box, hook up everything and start it up. It comes up to the first screen and asks you to hit A. I do and it gets to the "Select a language" screen. English is selected so I hit A. Nothing. I try to scroll down with the + part of the remote. Nothing moves. I hit all the buttons, nothing. WTF? So I shut it down using the power button on the remote. Hit that button again to get it started. Hit A at first screen. Language screen comes up. Can't do shit. WTF!!!!???? Now I'm getting pissed. All my excitement of being lucky enough to snag a Wii at Target was leaving me and I was worried I had a bad box or controller.

I look through the instructions and it says nothing. Put new batteries in the controller. Nope. Unplug the unit and turn it back on. Fuck! No. Stand up to look redo the sensor bar and I see something flash past the screen. WTF? I move my controller around and something flashes past again. I point at the screen with my controller and there is the arrow.

I'm such a dumbass sometimes

Thought Wii was broke. It wasn't.

I spent so much time looking for one I felt it was my duty to buy two "Just because I could."

Actually, I figured one of my friends would want one and if not I could sell it or whatever. Hell, I might even keep it and keep one in my bedroom and one for our kids. I haven't decided yet. It's just nice I have the choice!

I swore I read somewhere that if you had two Wii's they could communicate with each other over the network and allow you to play local multiplayer games on two diff wii's (ie: two different TV's) all at once.

Most Wii's on ebay are going for around $450 or so. That's a $200 + profit after you add a ridiculous $45 shipping price to it.

That will get you a bunch of games and controllers.
