It was now dinner time and they were all sitting on the new red Peruvian couches they had just bought.
“ Would anyone care for some cheese and crackers? “ David asked.
“ Over here my boy,” Lenny shouted.
“ I’ll have some too,” Lenny’s wife Marcia said with a smile on her face.
David, the waiter, was already serving appetizers to the others while they waited anxiously. Unwrapping and serving the cheese and crackers was his job, like many, he had no choice but to work his ass off for it. “ That’s the right choice.” James said. “ It all makes sense now.” Standing and stretching his long legs for a few short seconds.
“ James, how about a glass of wine and a toast,” James mother Marcia said. “ Yes indeed,” James said with a small grin on his face. He stood up, walked in the center of the dining room, held up his glass and said. “ I propose a toast in favor of my companion William shay, for his heroic work in last night’s events.” Everyone raised up their glasses. “For If it wasn’t for his valiant act, young Jacob would not be here right now,” he turned towards William. “Thank you for saving my brother from that burning house, I owe you one,” he walked up to him and gave him a hug.
“ Thank you James,” William said with a tear running down his cheek. “ Mommy may I go to sleep. I’m tired,” little Jacob said while yawning. “ Yes, yes you may, you deserve it,” Marcia said with an embracing look on her face “ Thank you mom,” Jacob smiled.
