Im skin and bones!!

Hey...
im 19 years of age, and i cant seem to gain more weight.
Ive got high metabolism and i am very skinny (weight:57 kg, height;5,9) and i have been that way for about 10 years of my life. I am very busy during my term time , studying animation. I get stressed quite easy so i smoke a few cigerettes a day (about 4 a day), and i think that pretty much kills my appetite. Somedays i can get away with one normal meal (either lunch or dinner) and i eat breakfast very rarely, and when i do i dont eat that much. i am quite good at cooking and i seem to fry food in vegatable oil; mostly with rice, chicken or lamb, peppers, tomatoes. i dont snack that often but i do usually have a big appetite for crisps, chocolate etc... us I am not happy with my body and i would like to get bigger. Someone help me!

DeadMemory,

When I was your age I also was very skinny and could eat whatever I like without the fear of gaining weight.

I am now much older and very much on the opposite side of the scale. I have begun a supervised diet of healthy eating and in just one week I can feel the difference in how I feel.

Now do not think just because I am a women that I do not know what you are talking about-well I have three brothers and I have watched all of them grow up and all three brothers never had weight problems until they got older. Now all three brothers have wifes who cooked than balanced meals and all three boys while watching what they eat looked great.

I can tell you that you will never gain weight by smoking. If you stop this very bad habit, you will probably begin to notice that you have started putting on weight. You should also start doing some excercising, like walking or combining lifting weights and areobic excercising. This and eating a balanced diet should have you looking and feeling great.
