Im scared to get an HIV test?

I have had 2 liver transplants and I take Immunosuppressive medication that suppresses the T lymphocytes in my blood. I have had sex with only 1 person in the last 6 yrs, but I had unprotected sex with that person and we broke up. I know I should take an HIV test but Im really scared. But because Im already immunosuppressive, would HIV show up faster in me than in someone else?
