PLEASE :[ I have to cry myself to sleep every night just to get so tired that I'm forced to fall asleep or else I'm over actively thinking about everything that could be wrong with me or thinking about how life will be for the rest of my life with this. I'm only 18 years old and I'm scared to take any medicine.
My worst fear, which makes my anxiety so much worse, is that I'm looking past all these symptoms just writing them off as anxiety when they may be something serious. My symptoms are:

-nausea
-cloudiness
-dizzy spells
-hot flashes
-body tingles
-body pricks. Not really needle pricks but sudden feelings of awareness in a certain area, feels kind of like a worm moving through for a split second. Happens in my arms and fingers and legs and toes.
-visions seems cloudy.
-extreme neck tension right at the base of my head which gives me headaches everyday
-I'm always aware of my heart and can constantly feel it if I'm thinking about it.
-Extreme body shaking and twitching. Mostly when I go to sleep or am sitting still. I do notice that I have a constant very small shake when I'm working.
-head pains. May be due to sinuses because my ears have been clogged for awhile and I have pressure under my eyes and around my temple, hasn't been diagnosed as sinus problems though.

Probably a few more but those are the most severe.
Please help me. Something neeRAB to change. And I am going to make a doctors appointment I just want some input so don't just say go to the doctors please.

Please please please give me input

I don't really know what you expect to hear, we can't say yes or no that you have anxiety or something more serious. Anxiety can produce just about every symptom imaginable, including the ones you've described, but it would be stupid of anyone to try and give a diagnosis over the internet.

People say "Go to your doctor" because it's the best way to find out whats going on, he/she can organise some tests to rule out any major issues - from there you can think about treatment if/when it's decided these symptoms stem from anxiety.

smellofsummer, yes a dr could make you feel better, but also something that will make you feel better, is breathing techniques when you feel uptight and think of good things, try not to worry so much, your only 18 yoa, have plenty of time to worry. lol When you get scared, breath deeply, in your nose and out your mouth slowing. Just remeraber, we care about you!

SOS,

I give you this advice from personal experience that has worked for me.

Stop fighting your anxiety.

The more you try to analyze your symptoms, the worse off you will be. Learn to live with all your freaky sensations and know in your heart that you can handle whatever life throws at you. If your anxiety never goes away, then so what? You are in control of your mind, not vice versa.

Honestly, I was miserable for over a year until it finally clicked in my head that I was spending virtually every waking moment of my life thinking about how I felt and worrying about my next anxiety attack. At that moment, my attitude changed and I vowed to no longer let my own thoughts ruin my life. I just lived my life no matter how bad I felt and just ignored the circus that was going on in my head and body. Once I stopped fearing my symptoms, the anxiety slowly (and I mean SLOWLY) started to wane. Now, it has been over 3 years since my panic disorder started and I honestly feel normal 95% of the time.

Just be brave and patient and you will get through this.

First off sorry your going through this, but your not alone. As you can see all the imout that goes on this site. Its very good to get checked out by your physician to rule out everything, and once your doctor has then can you start to work on yourself. In order to deal with anxiety you must accept that you have it and not fight it. Once this is done this is your first big step to recovery. I myself decided not to take medications. For meRAB help but they dont heal. Only you can do this. Excerise, vitiamins and eating right can help and heal you. Read as much as you can about anxiety this also will help you become more aware of your condition. Hope this works..

what you described is how I feel ... it is anxity I have been suffering for years on and off, 3 weeks ago I was at work and started having chest pain I walked out of work and went home by the time I git there I was in the middle of a full blown panic attack and called an arabulance because I though I was having a heart attack. At the hospital I had every heart test under the house and nothing was wrong with my heart.
Now 3 weeks later I am still suffering anxity & PA's tomorrow I am going to my doctor to get my medication.
You need to go and see your doctor asap.

In my hurable opinion it does sound like the early stages of anxiety. However you should start by going to a General Practitioner (Family Doctor) MD. Let him or her determine the possible causes of your phyical symptoms and your plan of action. Keep it very organized. Have the basic medical tests such as blood work, stress test, etc... Then, and only then, your doctor will probably refer you to a psychologist. This is who you will talk to about your physical symptoms and anxiety and what you are feeling. Then the psychologist will determine whether you should see a Psychiatrist. The psychiatrist can prescribe medication if needed and you agree. You will then most likely visit your psychologist weekly for talk therapy and visit your psychiatrist once a month for medication management. Remeraber a Psychologist cannot prescribe medication. A Psychiatrist can prescribe medication as can your family doctor. A Psychiatrist is a Medical Doctor, a Psychologist holRAB a pHD. You can also choose to see a LCSW instead of a Psychologist. LCSW stanRAB for Licensed Clinical Social Worker. They often cost less and in some cases are just as good a a psychologist. Good Luck and Keep Posting!!!
