fluid in or drain it? why?
i dont plan to put it back in for a few months(which will most likely become 6 or more months). So do i want to fill it up and plug it up or empty it and set it off to the side? is taking it to the radiator shop and having it cored and overhauled best to do and then set it to the side?
 
Drain it. If you don't every time you handle it you going to to leak all over. Take it to a radiator shop and have it boiled out and tested before you reinstall it.
