im really confused about pregnancy tests/spotting?

me and my boyfriend has sex a few times this month without protection or the withdraw method (im dumb, i know). i get my period every 25 (give or take a day) days, and am never late. about a week before it was due, i saw very little red blood in my underwear that turned dark brown. the next day it was gone.. i dont think i was my period. the day i was suposse to get m period, i took a pregnancy test and it was negitive. i was really relieved.. but now, a week later, i still dont have my period. is it uncommon for pregnant woman to get a negative result on the first day of their missed period? is there a chance im pregnant? ahh help!!!
 
some times when a fertilised egg embeds itself in the uterus there can be a bit of blood because it has to break through the blood around the uterus just wait a while and take another test
