I used to pump (stupidly) once or twice a day only and my supply tanked. He never would breastfeed at the breast very well, but I gave him back the shield and he's doing a little better. It's been three days and when I pump I'm not seeing much of an improvement. Shouldn't I be getting more milk by now - even if it's just a little? I am getting 1/8 - 1/4 an ounce each time i pump and that's what I'm still getting.
I will add that I exclusively breastfed him for the first month but he wasn't gaining and had bad jaundice so they told me to supplement with formula and let's just say BAD move!!!! That's when all the probs started. Should have trusted my instincts.
