years ago now. However, I'm ? still often told that I STILL have a VERY coarse Alf Garnett-style Cockney accent, (even by old mates back home in London), and I'm hangin' onto this for bloody dear life- (in fact, I'd go as far as to say I'm scared bloody shitless of losin' it, quite frankly!) No offence to any Lincolnites readin' this- (it's not that I don't like your accent, it's just that I feel it ain't me, and that the minute I lose me own accent, then bang- I lose me bloody London identity!) Like I said before, I'm absolutely desperate to hang on to me Cockney accent- is there any specific way to go about this, please- (other than watchin' me Alf Garnett D.V.D.s over and over again), or will it eventually fade out completely, and become a muddled Lincolnshire twang? Am I fightin' a losin' battle, and resistin' the inevitable? :/
