I'm in 8th grade. I have a group of 3 friends, and we are close with a group of another 4 girls. Yesterday, one friend from the other group was crying in the bathroom, and me and my friends were comforting her. But only one, lets call her Ann, knew what she was crying about. So me and my other friend, Caitlin, left. The next day, we come back to school, and most of my friends know about this terrible thing that happend to the crying girl, Melissa 2 years ago. But I dont know and neither does Caitlin. We sort of piece together bits and pieces and come up with she was addicted to heroine and had sex with someone. Even though she used to go to a super ghetto school, this seems very unrealistic. She is known for exaggerating. Heroine is STRONG. I dont really believe it, but now everyone is mad at everyone for little reasons and once again, like always, I refuse to take sides and am stuck in the middle.
What do I do? Try to find the whole story? Side with Caitlin? We go to a sheltered private school so this is news to us.
