Does an economy ever need to go through a recession? Is it a natural part of the life-cycle of a nation, or is it something that must be avoided at all costs?
A recession will always occur. Technically it is not that bad, people who were smart and didn't buy houses at inflated prices can now get one for dirt cheap. The people who overstated (lied) about their income and bought houses they couldnt afford are getting what they deserve.
