made the switch? any advice? Im currently A Sgt in the 25th ID US ARMY, 23 years old serving in my second combat tour in Iraq. Due to the frequency of tour's and a wife and newborn child I would like to be home more I do love the army and my country but I think for me I would like to serve at home now. I am searching for some information on becoming a police officer or sheriff. I have some college not very much though. I have two tours in Iraq as infantry medical training etc plenty of army training. I am wondering how much this will count for? I understand the civil service exam for the region is what most employment opportunity's are based on. Does anyone have any advice or suggestion's i still have time left in Iraq as well as the army but I would like to prepare myself to make my acceptance & employment with a law enforcement organization a smooth one. Any current law enforcement members If you could help me with advice or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. As well as anyone who has knowledge of this situation. Thank You
