I'm 19 years old and am looking to buy a hot hatch. Whilst I realise there are loads of similar questions on here, all greeted with "you won't be able to insure one"; I'm level headed enough to realise I won't be able to afford the likes of an R32 or a Type R just yet. I would however like something that gets away from the lights quickly, doesn't feel like it's going to roll over when I try to steer, and actually stops when I hit the brakes. Top speed doesn't bother me too much as I rarely have any need for huge speed, but something with sporty acceleration and handling, a nice-ish noise and a reasonably low insurance group would satisfy the petrolhead inside me! I'm currently looking at from a Golf Mk4 to a Capri III... so any suggestions are graciously received! Thanks!
