Im looking to buy a DS flash card. which one do you recommend? preferably for slot 1?

you should get the acekard 2i with a 4gb sd card it plays ds and gameboy rom movies your able to read book texts and you can listen to music and it has a built in action replay

hmmmm well theirs lots of good flash cards if you mean the ones that give you free games yes i have an R4 but i would recommend an Ace kart because it can hold up till 4gb (which is a lot and normally they go up to 2gb) so ace kart is good of course theirs a lot of other ones such as R4 TT/Ds M3 but overall i think you should buy an ace kart hope i helped
