I cannot for the life of me think of the title, and I don't exactly know what the plot of the book is :/
I do know, many high schools have it in their curriculum to read. I believe it is something all the bad memories - pain and suffering get taken out of everyone and a boy meets a man who helps him recover this memory...geez I'm not sure if I've got that right or not, but if it sounds familiar let me know!
Oh, and I believe the front of the book has a picture of an elderly man with a beard on the front...
