It was the story of a death sentenced criminal and his douche back lawyer who was trying to find him a pardon at the height of the 1968 French rebellions. The criminal name I recall to be Marcia. And I also recall that the storyline parallel with a wealthy French aristocratic couple trying to escape France with their Car filled with Gold bricks.
