I have recently passed my CBT test in London and I'm looking to buy a bike; a cool bike actually. Someone advised me to buy a Honda CBR. I've looked at some pictures and it does look pretty cool, but of course expensive for my income (£15000 salary). I don't know whether it's wise to spend so much money on a bike! And I don't know if it's only an impulsive kind of decision I'm making, and whether I'm gonna change my mind after buying a bike. The prospect of riding a bike does look scary but I'd love to overcome that fear, and enjoy the enormous amount of fun riding a sports bike...
I'm a student and have to travel everyday to uni by tube. It costs me £105 a month for a travel-card!!! So I thought maybe if I get a bike, the cost of commuting would be overall the same or less, but it would also be a lot more fun. I really don't know though! I would appreciate some advice:
Should I go for a CBR and enjoy the ecstasy that comes with it? or should I go for the cheaper alternative, that is, a boring Scooter?
