I'm afraid that your only 2 options are a flash drive or a external hard drive. What you do though is to get a 2"5 external hard drive. These are quite a bit smaller and run off the power from the usb, so no plug is needed.
 
...more than just a flash drive? I need something that can hold all my photography and self-made videos for school. I don't want an external hard drive, and I haven't seen flash drives that have enough memory and are affordable! Does anybody know what I should be looking for?
I do lots of videos, and I'm a photographer so I have many, many gigs worth of photos saved and they're destroying my laptop. I need something to keep my stuff safe & help my poor little computer!
