I'm looking for a course to learn html/css to build a site.?

I'm interesting in learning html and css but rather than go through the motions I want to be constructive and follow a course which actually ables me to build a site whilst I'm learning. I find these difficult to find. Anyone out there? If the worst came to the worst well Dreamweaver but you don't really learn hard core html and css with that programme.
