Okay, I might be a little rusty on details, as it's been a while since I read it. But I'm pretty sure it was a Pokemon book. Maybe not like approved by Pokemon, but it was about them. There was no Ash. [At least, I'm pretty sure there was no Ash. Perhaps she met him in a later book?] I'm pretty sure the books main character was another new girl character. And I think she had a Pikachu of her own? I don't know how many books were in the series, but I did read quite a few.
