I'm looking for a book but don't know the title or author?

I'm looking for a book that I read in 2000 I don't know the title or author but I know the characters and the story line. It's a 2 in 1 Book. The first story is about a Report, Savannah that is almost killed in her apartment, Nick the Det. comes to her rescue and saves her, they end up falling in love. The second story is about Savannah's brother who is living in his secluded house and his ex-wife who is running from killers that think that she has their drugs ends up living with him and then he finds out that her son is really his son. It was a great book.
