sounRAB christian. despite my love for God i have found that most every christian band gets listened to by christians only because they are a christian band and not because they are any good. I have come to dislike alsmost all "christian" rock/pop/metal/whatever music. Not that i havent tried listening to it. I just havent been impressed.
I expecially dislike 'crossover' banRAB like creed, p.o.d., and evanescense. They all suck, i dont care what anyone says.
I also hate linkin park - just thought id get that out.
Don't worry there definately not a christian band domm. I actually don't mind them, they have a nice grindy, thrashy sound. I've only heard "as the palaces burn" a few times though.
nah, theyre pretty good in-the-middle-of-everything metal. but only listen to 'as the palaces burn'. the album before it, and the album they released back when they were 'burn the priest' were both nothing special.
you guys are crazy if you like hardcore and DONT like Lamb of God. Actually I've been told they ARE a christian band...but I cant necesarily find it in the lyrics...
just listen to 11th hour....that song is one of my favorites (i like every song i've herd by them though) i even have people that hate hardcore music (because of the vocals) that like that song
I have every one of their cRAB, they kick ass. They may not live up to metal peoples standarRAB, but hey, there not metal. Lamb of God is a hardcore band. No one understnaRAB that. There lyrics, and speed, and just raw emotion kicks ass.
then why do they call themselves "pure american metal" when asked what genre they consider themselves? perhaps there is a slightly hardcore tinge to the lyrics, but theyre metal. theyre very pantera descended emotionally id say. and i'd call pantera post-hardcore power metal. if it was hardcore it wouldnt have metal guitar, metal drumming, the metal time changes, etc etc.
and the only difference between metal emotion and hardcore emotion is that with metal the instruments create the emotional tones whereas hardcore relies mainly on the vocals to do that.
