I'm leaving tommorow, can i not feed my Beta fish for 7 days?

and have it survive? It has the leftovers of a receeding case of sim bladder diesease (I don't know if that matters), but I heard they can live long without food. THe fish feeder feeds it three times a day and gives it a handful each time and I'm worried that would kill him or dirty his water too much. What should I do?
 
There are these special blocks that they sell at walmart and pet stores that are feeders that can last a week. Just ask them for one of those. They also have them at the Px, Bx.
Also clean his tank before you leave and stop using the feeder and use the food pyramid thing, it wont dirty up the water. But, not feeding him, he will live.
 
A healthy fish can survive a week without food. I don't usually recommend the vacation feeders because they break down and degrade water quality.

Asha- Bettas are carnivores, so if your betta was eating plant roots (which is an awful myth) he must have been starving. Considering you kept your betta in a bowl I am not surprised that you know so little about them.
