IM+ Issue

I'm currently using the trial version of IM+ so I don't know if that's the reason I'm having this issue. If it is, please let me know.

When I have IM+ open on my N95 and I make or receive a call, it seems that the microphone on the phone doesn't work as the other person cannot hear me. Even if I close IM+ and try to remake the call or I receive another call, still no one can hear me. The only way I can fix this issue is by shutting down and restarting the phone.

Is anyone else having this problem with IM+? Is this a known issue or is it just with the N95? Is it perhaps not IM+ that's causing this and something else that I'm missing? I'm also running the trial of RoadSync (which I love and will likely buy when my trial period comes to an end) but if I only have that running I don't seem to have this problem. I'm sure that it can be fixed with a software update, but who knows how long that will be. I'd like to know if this is only a bug with my phone before I go ahead and purchase the full version.

Thanks in advance!

I was just using the trial version of the IM+. My friend called when i was using it, and it seems fine. No problems here. Do you have the APAC or Euro?

I don't know for sure, but I bought mine at the Chicago store so I believe it's Euro.

I was just reading in another thread that there are sometimes issues with apps that are installed on the memory card as opposed to the phone memory. I currently have IM+ installed on the memory card. I'm playing around with my installations right now to see if that solves it. Do you have it installed in the phone memory or the memory card?

are you guys able to use IM+ with your WLAN network on the N95?

can you please help advise how you did it as the WLAN Network is not available as a choice when choosing a network to be used with IM+

Installing it in phone memory seems to have fixed the problem, at least for the case of outgoing phone calls. I'll have to keep testing to see if it messes up again.

As far as getting IM+ to work with WLAN, yes, I have gotten it to work. Unfortunately, my internet provider is the worst in the world (comes free with my apartment) and they block virtually all ports so gtalk won't work, but AIM works fine. I have unlimited data with T-Mobile, though, so I just connect through that. Edge is overkill for IMs.

When I try to connect with IM+ it gives me a list of available networks. My wireless router shows up because I set it as a known connection in Conn. mgr. in Tools. Even if it didn't, though, I believe there is a Search link there as well. Make sure you have the correct encryption key if you're connecting to an encrypted network.

Edit: I was wrong, it's not in conn. mgr. it's in Tools > Settings > Connection > Access Points and then add a new one.

Agile will always be better than IM+... IM+ programmers can't seen to fix the bug that if you are typing and you receive a message it erases what you are typing!!!! !

You know, that is a bug that has kinda been pissing me off lately. I had never heard of Agile. I just downloaded it and am playing with it a bit. It's quite possibly the ugliest program that I've ever seen and it doesn't seem to want to put my gtalk people into a group, but functionality wise, it's really quite good.

*sigh* Now I have more to think about. Are there any other IM programs out there that use data (as opposed to SMS) and can connect to at least MSN, AIM, and gtalk that I don't know about and should try?
