the art world? hello everyone. so im only 18 but i consider my work to be on a professional level. (not meaning to sound conceited)
i mostly do traditional art such as portraits and still life in oil and acrillic painting, as well as pencil and charcoal work, however i can do commercial art if i need to, i would just like to remain in the fine arts genre if possible.
ive received recognition from the main newspaper in salt lake for my work as an apprentice, designing and creating a public mural with the help of 4 others. ive also been asked to do commissioned art work, but im wondering about other ways to sell my art, or just to get my work better known.
i have several connections in the utah art scene and i plan on meeting with them to talk about submitting art to the local galleries, but if you have other ideas of how to get my art work "out there" it would be much appreciated.
by the way, i would prefer not to sell my art online just yet, though i might look into that at another time.
