im interested in buying a 1996 jeep grand cherokee...how many miles can they handle?

it allready has 20,300 miles on it...and i know thats a lot, but im not sure about Jeep's wear and tear standards and stuff. its in great condition for a slightly older ride. theyre asking $1,850. worth it?
