I'm installing a head unit on a jeep? The antenna (I think) and ground wire

are attached behind a screw? See the attena has not plug in that would go in the bottom left corner.

My questions is will the attenna (non powered) still work if I attached behind a screw on the newer head units?

What's the year and model of your Jeep? I'm not quite sure I understand your question.

Older Jeep models often have a ground strap or ground wire attached to the back of the factory radio chassis with a bolt. In some cases there's a mesh ground strap, together with a second black/stripe wire that's usually the ground wire for a factory amplifier. But these vehicles always have a separate antenna cable with a standard "Motorola" type plug.
