I'm having my first blood test and I'm really scared, does it hurt?

I have an irrational [major] fear of getting needles, and now I have to get my first blood test. I was wondering if they actually hurt? And compared to other needles, or even pins, are the needles bigger? smaller? any answer that can make me calm down is appreciated! :) (and i know i sound stupid but i AM scared :P)

and hopefully i won't end up freaking out so much that it ends in tears and major panic attacks .. (not like i've done that before .. heheh)
 
you shouldn't worry about it,it doesn't hurt.
the needles are not that big,their small actually,
and it doesn't hurt,they just put a rubber band on your arm
then rub it with alcohol then,they put the needle in,it just feels like
a tiny pinch,i was scared at first as well,but i then i got used to it,
if it helps just look away when they put the needle in,but trust me it doesn't really hurt:)well,good luck!ohh and i love your name haha,i LOOOOVE the jonas brothers:D
