...advice? I have two small children and am currently seperated from my wife. So as a single father I am looking for a nice area and apt. My eviction is shared with my wife our 1st place and breakup. Anyhow the bogus report comes from previous landlord who states I left home dirty with holes and broken mirrors . We left that apt clean I even swept out his garage, I added 3 ceiling fans and a wall mounted ac unit.

if the report was bogus in 05 you had three years to fix it/dispute it, and even sue to get it removed.....

the fact you were evicted in 01, shows a pattern that makes anything you say unbelievable.....

my advice is you clean up your life.....

Well I don't know if a cobra-style lashing is warranted, but you did make some mistakes you'll have to live with. Maybe you can offer a larger deposit or prepay several months lease. Maybe a co-signer will work. Talk honestly with the property manager and see what you can do. Then don't blow it again!
