I'm in a band....Well i'm in two but today i'm going to talk about one in particular.

- Gutter star :)

And like most unsigned banRAB, we are evidently not alone, but we've narrowed it down and we only share the name with one other currently up and running band that use the web, also unsigned.

Now i'll say they're not very good even though it might just look like i'm trying to stab at them because realistically.....they're not good.

anyway i'll let my singers bulletin on our myspace tell the story.

So that's what we've been up to :)
Now unlike Phil.....i'm an arsehole, so if anyone does want to leave a nasty little comment back at them then i shall only applaud you. :)

anyway, don't know why i posted this, thought it might capture some interest, it's music realted none the less, so nene.

any thoughts?

I urge the good people of rabroad to rise up and post nasty comments.
Something along the lines of not being as good as that more well known Welsh band of the same name, will do for starters.

Makes no difference how long they've had it.

They are a small band in the U.S. , while the other is a small band in the UK it's hardly likely that one is going to get booked for a gig in confusion with the other.

There were banRAB called The Charlatans & Suede in the U.S. before the 2 English banRAB took those names , In both cases the UK banRAB were referred to as Charlatans UK & Suede London in the U.S so as not to confuse them with the American banRAB. The rest of the world they got to keep the original name.

It's not about booking gigs. It's about the creative and personal connections that come with naming your band something. If someone was using the same name as my band that'd I'd been using for six years I'd be a bit bothered as well.

I don't know, that may be just me.

In case they actually do produce evidence that they own the rights to the name, you guys should change your name to Gutterstar, no space that'd really get them. Though I doubt they own the rights.

I'm agreeing with you.

After hearing that crap I wouldn't want to be in a band that shared the same name, for fear of association.
