im gonna buy a phone from walmart!!! i need help?

i broke my phone today and like alot of people its like i broke my life lol i dont have he money right now to go to a company and by a phone and get a plan so im going to walmart cause they have cheaper phones but i dont know what o expect when it comes to starting a plan i dont want to get a contract i want something either pre paid but i also dont want to go with a trac fone at all but i might try virgin mobile or just no contract what should i expect when i buy the phone are they gonna ask me what kind of plan i want to do or am i gonna jus walk out of there with a phone i cant do any thing with does it depend on what type of phone i get like verizion or something i really dont know much about buying a phone from walmart lol so bare with me what should i do and expect thanks for reading and please i really need this and i really need to get a new pone asap and also can they transfer all of my old numbers and pics into whatever phone i get or do i have o go some where else for tha and how much should i expect a plan with unlimited texting to be thanks you again
