my left knee cap has been all screwed up. Most of the time it will be fine and sometime when I guess I overexert myself it gets to the point where my knee cap does this popping thing every step I take and sometimes it won't be able to bend. Yesterday was my last day of work unloading freight trucks and I was walking around like a pegleg. I told my recruiter today and he just mimicked me. He told me to just suck it up. Do you guys think I'll be ok to go through the rigorous training of Marine Corps bootcamp? I just need some reassurance I guess.

see a doctor
you dont want to go to bootcamp just to drop out
im also a dock worker and go to usmc bootcamp feb 17

If you have a problem they will send you to a medical platoon. If you are unfit to be a Marines they'll send you home.

Get a check-up from a doctor, and a letter from him if you aren't in good enough condition to report. Don't put it off!!!!

God bless you for your willingness to serve this wonderful country!

No, you aren't going to be ok. If you are lucky the Corps will do surgery and fix the problem, put you on some kind of light duty until you are rehabbed and then recycle you through boot. If you are unlucky, they will call it a fraudulent enlistment, put you out with no medical coverage and a bad knee. Then they'll investigate your recruiter for recruiter impropriety and he'll be punished fairly severely.

An admitted medical disqualifyer that is not disclosed to the medical personnel at MEPS is grounds for putting you out on a less than honorable discharge. Make sure that you tell the medical people when you go in to process for shipping the day before you leave for boot. If you do then you won't be in trouble. If you get ready to swear in and you haven't told anyone you need to talk to the guidance counselor immediately.

Hard to tell. Do some strengthening exercises for it. The flu shot they gave me is what messed me up.

Sounds like your going to get medically discharged to me.

I don't see how you can go on rucks with a stiff leg.

Boot camp has a way of exploiting all of your injuries.

Your recruiter is not gonna look out for your best interest.. All he wants is for you to ship out, remember that.

If your really hurt then go see a doctor..If you cant go to boot then your date will be changed..,Would you rather go to boot camp and get hurt there then remain there until you heal?

Only you know the correct thing to do.

.If your in pain now then your gonna be in alot more pain come boot camp.
