I'm going to Iraq for a documentary, suggestions?

We'll be heading to Fallujah than Baghdad via Turkey in two weeks for a shoot.
Any suggestions to what kind of protection I might need or what risks we might encounter. We'll be hanging around Army troops all the time but I'd still feel better if I had some kind of body armour on me. Now I'm a cameraman and don't make much and prices online are pretty high.
Whats the best type of body armour for best price?
 
youll be issued aromor before you get on the ground...if you going with the military..their not gonna let you run around unprotected. bring some bandannas to tie around your face and some decent goggles, the dust storms will mess you up this time of year. drink lots and lots of water. wear light loose clothing to help keep you cool. sunglasses, if you need it sunscreen.
