I have a 8-year-old daughter and today when school was over and she was waiting for me and her step mother to pick her up another little girl scratched her in the face real bad and started to stab her with a pencil and from a witness which was her teacher she said the other little girl got mad because my daughter was awarded with some candy for sitting down and helping clean up and the other girl got mad because she didn't get any. The teacher said when the girl did that she called for some other teachers to come in because my daughter was bleeding and they had to call a medical unit.
So when we got there my daughter was crying and blood was all on her shirt and by then the other parents was there shouting at me telling me i need to know how to control my little animal because my daughter do have adhd and they both had bad run-ins before but it was clear there daughter attacked mine and it was even a witness which was the teacher but they claim that the school is being racist and all kinds of stuff that don't make sense and now they going to sue and they even said they was coming after us hard.
Now not only did my daughter need over 10 stitches in her face and arms she still cries and seem emotionally torn down from it and all they seemed to did was aim at her condition and the incident before and not liking the teacher. Do they stand a chance in wining the lawsuit? The teacher was told she can't get involved but she did do a police report but am i good to go?
