...the kids...? if they fight:
what should i do?
call the teacher?
break them up?

or if a kid has a tantrum?
can you help?

just fyi the kids will be from 4-12 years old
and its a science camp at a museum
 
if they fight then say "guys chillax" or something to go with "the flow"

First you need to know the rules for counselors. Does the camp have a protocol for certain situations?

Fighting is not good but you shouldn't break it up since you would be putting yourself in danger.

The tantrums-walk away. Don't be an audience to their behavior. Stay close enough that you can still make sure they are okay and don't run off.

The next thing you need to do is read, "Love and Logic". It really helps deal with kids in a positive way.

Are these troubled kids, church camp, or what?

If they are severely troubled kids then there are different rules since they are so broken.

Good luck! We have so many broken children out there. Camp can be such a positive experience for them. Patience, love, kindness and a firm boundaries are good things.
