I'm going to apply to med school and I've Pretty much screwed over my freshmen

year of college. Can I recover? My gpa for freshmen year of college is 3.376. I know that is FAR from ok. I'm planning on getting all my textbooks for next year and studying them over summer. Even if I do well in subsequent semesters, do you think my freshmen year performance will haunt me forever?
