Controling)bor Jet Mechanics? ? I've read alot on ATC and Jet Mechanic and both are appealing in their own right but I just want to hear from the camels mouth how each job fairs.
Both are long hours, not 8-5. The ATC is high stress, with a high washout rate. Mechanics is more labor intensive, obviously. ATC is air force wide, as far as your station is concerned, but depending on what air craft you are assigned to, you may be at one base your entire career with Mechanics. If you're a U2 mechanic, there are only like 3 bases I think. I'm at one of them, but my husband is chaplain asst. GOOD LUCK! )
